Bring the Cubs Back To The Fans
Tuesday, September 18, 2007 at 2:15PM
Erik Majeski, owner of Chicago based music label Majeski Media (home to the one and only Stuart Davis) has launched an organization called 4 Fan's Sake whose goal is to facilitate a fan buyout of the Chicago Cubs organization (which is up for sale right now).
I have been a Cubs for as long as I can remember and I would love to see this organization raise enough money to put the Cubs in the hands of the people that truly love the Cubs. Thus far fans have pledged nearly $3 million toward the purchase of the team.
As wonderful as it is to see that kind of support, it is going to take a whole lot more to even be in the running to purchase the team. So I urge you, as a long suffering Cubs fan to pledge as much as you can (the pledge is non-binding) to bring the Cubs back into the hands of their rightful owners, the fans.
