Bin Laden disowns Moussaoui

The latest Bin Laden tape is out, and the US has stated that is authentic, you can read the article here: http://dailytelegraph.news.com.au/story/0,20281,19242453-5001027,00.html (It's an Australian newspaper, so it's probably trustworthy). The gist of the tape was that convicted 9/11 hijacker Zaccarias Moussaoui had nothing to do with the plot. So are we to believe Bin Laden or the American government? Under normal circumstances, I would say that Bin Laden was lying for some unknown reason. But these are not normal circumstances, and one could hardly say that Bin Laden has done a whole lot of lying, whereas our illustrious leaders have told a lions share of falsehoods in the last 6 years. Now I am not sure what good it would do Bin Laden to lie about this, you would think that he would have taken advantage of the situation and turned Moussaoui into another martyr sentenced to die in an American prison by the Bush regime. He also states that none of the prisoners at Gitmo had anything to do with the plot, and that most of them have nothing at all to do with al-Qaeda. Again, why would he lie about this? What does this say about the war on terror and in the light of the appointment of Michael Hayden as CIA director by Bush, what does it say about the state of our intelligence gathering operations? Apparently the CIA, FBI and NSA managed to get a man who was in custody on 9/11 (thus having no way to take part in the attacks) to confess to being the 20th hijacker when he probably wasn't. Even more importantly, what does this say about the court system? Granted that this is not the first time, nor will it be the last, where the rantings of a crazy man have gotten said man convicted, but was there really any evidence that could corroborate Moussaoui's testimony? Or was this man simply convicted by a jury that wanted to see someone pay for 9/11? Last but not least, why the hell haven't we found Bin Laden yet? The man is 6'6" tall and requires dialysis to stay alive, how hard can it be to find him? Are they even looking anymore? They can't even find Natalee Holloway, and Aruba is a hell of a lot smaller than Afghanistan or Pakistan (wherever he may be). So it appears that we have convicted one man who had nothing to do with 9/11, and have no idea where the hell the admitted mastermind of the attack is. God damn I love our government!
